Following the tremendous evolution of transferring images through the Internet, it is necessary to ensure security during this act, especially for medical images. The application of multiple watermarking tech- nique represents a solution to preserve the security of such data on the one hand, and the traceability of medical diagnoses made by doctors on the other hand. This falls under the remote collaborative work. This technique is applied in the TeNeCi (Collaborative tele-neurology) platform. The project allows practitioners to distribute the analyses of the medical images. In fact, we used the multiple watermarking technique in a wavelet field. The theory underlying this technique is to hide information in the medical image and at the same time to ensure its imperceptibility. The diagnosis made by the practitioner is the data inserted in the image. The fundamental challenge of this paper is how to hide the total diagnoses of each practitioner in the image ensuring a good quality of the image at the same time

Security of the Medical Media Using an Hybrid and Multiple Watermark Technique

    No full text
International audienceThis paper proposes a new approach of multiple and hybrid watermark using two linked fields of insertion. This approach associates two different series of marks: one is sturdy guaranteeing the supervision of diffused media though the network and testifying to the identity of the owner of the medical image; the other series of marks, which is frail, insuring the integrity, the trace and the archives of medical diagnoses. In fact, this approach allows to benefit from the advantages of different insertion spaces (spatial and frequency field) and kind of two different fields of watermark. In the spatial field, the diagnosis of the doctor (frail marks) is inserted guaranteeing its records and its trace. In the frequency, the sturdy mark is inserted allowing to ensure the automatic control of the media through the network and testifying to the proprietor of the medical image

Electrical Resistivity Behavior and VRH Transport Mechanism in Semiconducting La0.6Sr0.4Mn1−2x Fe x Cr x O3 (0.10≀x≀0.25) Manganites

International audienceThe transport properties and conduction mechanism in La0.6Sr0.4Mn1−2x Fe x Cr x O3 (0≀x≀0.3) have been investigated. The undoped samples show metal-semiconductor transition with a peak of resistivity at a temperature T P , whereas for all doped compounds the semiconducting behavior persists in the whole temperature range. The insertion of Cr3+ and Fe3+ ions leads to the increase of resistivity because the simultaneous substitution of Fe3+ and Cr3+ for Mn3+ reduces the number of available hopping sites for the Mn e g↑ electron and suppresses the double-exchange mechanism. It was found that the transport mechanism for substituted samples is dominated by the variable range hopping of small polarons between localized states in a model where the various parameters estimated from Mott's relation obey the variable range hopping (VRH) mechanism

Electrical and magnetic properties of La0.67Ba0.33Mn1−x (Me) x O3 perovskite manganites: case of manganese substituted by trivalent (Me = Cr) and tetravalent (Me = Ti) elements

International audienceThe effects of non-magnetic Ti4+ substitution on the structural, electrical and magnetic properties of La0.67Ba0.33Mn1−x Ti x O3 (0≀x≀0.1) are investigated and compared to those existing in La0.67Ba0.33Mn1−x Cr x O3 (magnetic Cr3+). The structural refinement by the Rietveld method revealed that Ti-doped samples crystallize in the cubic lattice with space group Pm3ÂŻm , while samples with Cr crystallize in the hexagonal setting of the rhombohedral R3ÂŻC space group for identical contents of dopant. The most relevant structural features are an increase of the lattice parameters, of the cell volume and of the inter-ionic distances with increasing Ti doping level. Both series of samples show a decrease of the paramagnetic-ferromagnetic transition temperature when the amount of chromium or titanium increases. Transport measurements show that when increasing the metal doping, the resistivity increases whereas the metallic behavior of the parent compound La0.67Ba0.33MnO3 is destroyed. For a substitution higher than 5 at.% of Ti and 10 at.% of Cr, the samples exhibit a semiconducting behavior in the whole range of temperature, for which the electronic transport can be explained by variable range hopping and/or small polaron hopping models

Mppsocgen: A framework for automatic generation of mppsoc architecture

Automatic code generation is a standard method in software engineering since it improves the code consistency and reduces the overall development time. In this context, this paper presents a design flow for automatic VHDL code generation of mppSoC (massively parallel processing System-on-Chip) configuration. Indeed, depending on the application requirements, a framework of Netbeans Platform Software Tool named MppSoCGEN was developed in order to accelerate the design process of complex mppSoC. Starting from an architecture parameters design, VHDL code will be automatically generated using parsing method. Configuration rules are proposed to have a correct and valid VHDL syntax configuration. Finally, an automatic generation of Processor Elements and network topologies models of mppSoC architecture will be done for Stratix II device family. Our framework improves its flexibility on Netbeans 5.5 version and centrino duo Core 2GHz with 22 Kbytes and 3 seconds average runtime. Experimental results for reduction algorithm validate our MppSoCGEN design flow and demonstrate the efficiency of generated architectures.Comment: 16 pages; International Journal of Computer Science & Information Technology (IJCSIT) Vol 4, No 2, April 201

Optimal Cost for Time-Aware Cloud Resource Allocation in Business Process

    Get PDF
Cloud Computing infrastructures are being increasingly used for running business process activities due to its high performance level and low operating cost. The enterprise QoS requirements are diverse and different resources are offered by Cloud providers in various QoS-based pricing strategies. Furthermore, business process activities are constrained by hard timing constraints and if they are not executed correctly the enterprise will pay penalties costs. Therefore, finding the optimal Cloud resources allocation for a business process becomes a highly challenging problem. While optimizing the Cloud resource allocation cost, it is important to respect activities QoS requirements and temporal constraints and Cloud pricing strategies constraints. The aim of the present paper is to offer a method that assists users finding the optimal pricing strategy for Cloud resource used by business process activities. Basically, we use a binary/(0-1) linear program with an objective function under a set of constraints. In order to show its feasibility, our approach has been implemented and the results of our experiments highlight the effectiveness of our proposed solution

Structural, electrical conductance and complex impedance analysis of (Nd1−xCex)0.7Sr0.3MnO3 (0≀x≀0.20) perovskite

International audiencePolycrystalline samples of (Nd1−xCex)0.7Sr0.3MnO3 (x=0, 0.10 and 0.20) were prepared by a high-temperature solid-state reaction technique. The X-ray diffraction study has shown that all the samples exhibit a single phase with orthorhombic structure (space group Pnma). From the resistivity data, it is found that all the samples show metal to semiconductor transition and the transition temperature decreases with the Ce doping. The complex impedance has been investigated in the temperature range 80–320 K and in the frequency range 40 Hz–1 MHz. AC conductance analyses indicate that the conduction mechanism is strongly dependent on temperature and frequency. The impedance plane plot shows semicircle arcs at different temperatures and an electrical equivalent circuit has been proposed to explain the impedance results. The activation energies obtained from the conductance is slightly higher than that from time relaxation analyse

Software agents meet internet of things

The last few years have seen a rapid democratization of things to the extent that they have become omnipresent in our surroundings and daily lives. Many buzzwords like smart cities, smart homes, and smart wrists exemplify thing democratization. Unfortunately, Internet of Things (IoT) adoption is slowing down due to first, the nature of things being usually “passive” and second, the multiplicity of things\u27 development tools and communication standards. Both are impacting the quality of IoT applications and undermining the capabilities that these applications could offer to users. In this position paper, we discuss the “agentification” of things, using norms and commitments, as a means to address their passive nature. At the conceptual level, norms ensure that things operate in accordance to users\u27 best interests. Also, at the operational level, commitments ensure that things will not deviate from the prescribed norms and hence, avoid violations that could lead to penalties. An architecture supporting thing agentification along with some ongoing efforts are discussed in this paper

Can docetaxel concomitant administration with bisphosphonates be considered as a risk factor for osteonecrosis of the jaw in metastatic breast cancer patients? A preliminary study.

Osteonecrosis of the jaws (ONJ) is rare complication of bisphosphonates use which was described for the first time by Marx in 2004. Bisphosphonates (BP) are stable derived of inorganic pyrophosphate which had an antiresorbant effect in the bone making them very useful in bone metastasis, especially with the third generation of bisphosphonates. Many risk and trigger factors have been described as predisposing to the development of ONJ. The aim of this work is to show if docetaxel administration can be considered as a predisposing factor to develop ONJ. We report a series of 11 patients treated during 5 years in the maxillofacial surgery department in HU Habib Bourguiba Sfax – Tunisia for ONJ due to BP use for breast cancer bone metastasis. Those patients were divised into two sub-groups: with and without concomitant docetaxel administration. All patients’ data (age and delay of appearance of ONJ, cumulative doses and trigger factors) were collected and analyzed. It was found that patients treated with docetaxel in association to bisphosphonates developed ONJ in earlier age, with a lower cumulative doses of zoledronic acid within a shorter delay period. ONJ occurred in these patients even in the absence of trigger factor and intrinsic risk factors
